As a teenager, Anita studied with the Austrian painter Josef Dobrowsky<\/a>, who painted a portrait of her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently after some still-life painting sessions, Anita and Josef would happily sit down to consume the items they had just painted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dobrowsky also painted a portrait of Anita’s brother Mark Bloomfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their father Alexander Bloomfield was a supporter of the arts who encouraged Anita to paint and take lessons with Dobrowsky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over at least the period from 1951 to 1956, the family got well-acquainted with Dobrowsky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
